When was Band Shirt Archive founded?
The seeds for Band Shirt Archive where planted years and years ago when I started going to summer concerts. I was always drawn to buying lot shirts out in the venue parking lot; and over the years I assembled quite a collection of great lot shirts. Then in the summer of 2007 after a Widespread Panic show at Red Rocks Amphitheatre I was walking down the ramp, out of the venue, I began noticing all the different shirts; no two alike. That's where the idea for Band Shirt Archive was born.
What is the goal of Band Shirt Archive?
The original goal of Band Shirt Archive.com was to collect photos of every band shirt ever made, by every band ever. Truly, a lofty goal; but how cool would it be to browse every Led Zeppelin concert shirt or Grateful Dead tour shirt ever made? Now, our mission has expanded to include becoming the best source to find those hard to find band and tour shirts on the web.
