Rush Shirts Of The Early 80s & Red Rocks 2010
A couple weeks ago Rush played a pair of sold out shows at Red Rocks Amphitheater in Morrison CO. I checked the ticket reseller sites and craigslist and those where hot ticket; going for well above face value. It shouldn't have surprise me really. Earlier this year Rush announced they were releasing a new album next year and they haven't played a tour in nearly two years.... more
The Michael Houser Shirt Collection
Today marks the 8th anniversary of the passing of Michael Houser of Widespread Panic. When you think about it 2002 doesn't seem so long ago. I can remember quite vividly seeing Mikey sitting to JBs right at Red Rocks that year. For everybody at the show that day it was common knowledge that Mikey had been diagnosed with pancreatic cancer earlier that year; I'm sure we all talked about how great it was to see him playing especially at Red Rocks. On that Sunday, as City Of Dreams played on the speakers and the fans filed out the curtain closed on an era of Panic.... more
Band Shirt Spotlight: Preserve The Kinks shirt!
I was browsing though t-shirts this morning when i discovered this treasure, a Preserve The Kinks t-shirt from 1973. I thought it would be fitting to feature this shirt today sense I've been enjoying a lot of classic Kinks lately. Despite what appears to be thin fabric, which you see in nearly all shirts of this era; this shirt is in amazing condition considering its 37 years old. A shirt like this is currently listed on eBay for $600.... more
A Few Sweet Band Shirts From The Spearhead Lots
It wasn't really a "band shirt" crowd at the Michael Franti & Spearhead Red Rocks show last weekend. But I did manage to find a few gems in the lot and in the venue. My favorite being this 2003 Ralph Wiggum/Widespread Panic lot shirt that I found in the venue. "Thank You Bedspread Picnic!". I love simpons themed lot shirts, back in my early concert going days looking for shirts like this in the Phish lots was always a mission of mine.... more

Juthro Tull '77 American Tour, The 'Campiest' Band Shirt Ever
You've just got to love shirts from the 70s don't you. I mean, they just don't make them like this anymore. I know nothing says rock band to me like a man and his dog, sitting by a fire on a blue sunny day.... more
Band Shirt Spotlight: Jimmy Buffett Gulf Shore Benefit Concert Shirt
If you don't know much about Jimmy Buffett beyond Margaritaville and Land Shark beer you should know that he is the kind of artist that is always willing to get behind a cause that he believes in. The tragedy in the gulf is no exception. That is why Jimmy Buffett and Friends put on a free benifit show on Gulf Shores Public Beach in Alabama on July 11th 2010.... more
Band Shirt Spotlight: Iron Maiden 2008 Candian Tour T-Shirt
Iron Maiden continues to put out some of the best band shirts you'll find on tour today. I was so impressed with this 2008 Iron Maiden shirt that I had to share it. Even back in the early 1980s when they were first coming on the scene the graphics on their shirts were intense. I featured a 1985 Iron Maiden shirt a year, check it out to see what I mean.... more
BP Can't Catch A Break, Not Even In The Lots
Poor BP, they just can't get any love. Not from the media, not from the public and not in the parking lots before a Widespread Panic show. They have inspired what will likely be the lot shirt of the year.... more
What do you think of license plate lot shirts?
Anybody who has spent any respectable amount of time in the parking lots before a show has undoubtedly seen them. As lot shirts go, I might have to classify them as the lowest barrier to entry for anybody who wants to slang shirts on tour. I'm of course talking about license plate lot shirts and I have to admit that I own a couple myself. Now, I'm not knocking this shirt concept, I think they are great shirts and can be really creative. Whenever I got any distance away from home I would pick these up in the lots when I saw one, they are great ways to remember a stop on tour.... more
