Extra Extra, Saturday is National Record Store Day!

That's right folks, there are still independent music stores out there and Saturday April 18th is National Record Store Day. On Saturday, independent records stores across the country will join together to celebrate, check here for a list of participating stores.. If your one of the lucky ones to still have an independent music store in your city this is your day to show some pride.

700 independent stores will be offering performances, special appearances, entertainment, cookouts and parades, meet and greets with artists as well as releasing special limited edition LPs and CDs from some legendary performers; check out the list.

Saturday seems like a good day to abandon virtual reality for a little dose of actual reality. Get out and support the people who keep music alive in your community. I'd like to throw a special shout out to my own hometown independent record store in Fort Collins Colorado, The Finest, Rare CDs and LPs
