Its been a bit sense my last Band Shirt Archive blog. I've been wanting to spotlight this shirt for a couple weeks though. I was browsing eBay listings for vintage shirts when I came across this beauty. Its a 1975 Aerosmith shirt from their Toys In The Attic tour.
For those unfamiliar, the Toys In The Attic tour was the breakout tour for Aerosmith. The album and the tour basiclly solidified Aerosmith as an international concert draw. The song "Sweet Emotion" off the album of the same name went on to become the band's first top 40 single.
The shirt it's self is a classic example of a great 70s tour shirts. Like many band shirts from the era its a jersey style shirt with both front and back graphics. The front graphic is a great caricature of the band, Steven Tyler's big lips and all. The back of the shirt has a GREAT graphic of, well, toys in the attic.
Great shirt, great graphics. Its currently available on eBay for $300 in medium, check out the listing here. Check out pictures of the shirt front and back here.
