Hello, my name is Nate Meyer and yes my goal is really to get a picture of every band shirt every made by every band that ever made a shirt. The Band Shirt Archive is inspired by the amazing shirts I've seen over the years at festivals and concerts.
I remember the moment I got the idea for BSA. It was 2006 at Red Rocks and I was walking out the Saturday Widespread Panic show. If you've never been to Red Rocks, as you walk out you are steadily moving down and you can often see the mass of people before you, flowing out of the venue to the upper south lot.
What I noticed that night in the mob of people packed shoulder to shoulder was the amazing variety of band shirts they were wearing. Other than the newbies who were already wearing their new souvieres; it seemed nearly every one was different.
Although my love of lot shirts started in the lots of Alpine Valley in 1998; that night I was stuck with inspriation. I would create a website to honor all those shirts and give back to the music community that I've enjoyed for so long.
Its taken me a long time to fully execute my vision for the Band Shirt Archive and I thank you for taking the time to check it out. There is a lot ot disover on BSA. I really wanted to make an easier way to find great shirts that I missed out on the over the years; I hope you find these features useful.
I hope to see your shirts on the archive soon.
Thanks again, Nate Meyer
